News Purple Rain is included in the exhibition Invisible Sounds at Montevideo, Netherlands Institute for Media Arts-Amsterdam, curated by Annet Decker. The exhibition opens June 1st. Joyce and myself will be there to install the work and participate in a forum and then we shall travel to Venice for the biennale. Anechoic Chamber begins for The Carriage Works, Sydney. This commissioned large scale installation may be our greatest challenge yet. Later in the year Joyce and myself will head to IASKA (International Art Space, Kellerbaran to image the sun for an exhibition at IASKA and in support of Earth & Star, a project under development for C3 West whose partners include the MCA Sydney, Casula Powerhouse and Penrith Regional Gallery, amongst others. In the studio have begun the long learning curve to be able to design fine fragrance in order to produce a series of conceptually based limited editions to be made available in galleries and from the web. A work from the Hydrogen Alpha series of Paintings will be included in " The Trouble With the Weather - a southern perspective" group exhibition at the UTS Gallery Sydney, curated by Maria Miranda. Opening August 1, I think. A new multi channel video installation " The Door" is included in " Who's Afraid Of the Big Bad Wolf " at Te Tui Center for Contemporary Art Auckland NZ. Other Artists included in the exhibition are Gabriela Fridriksdottir, A sound performance of American Modern will take place at the Winebar, Auckland with Rosy Parlane on the evening of March 7th. November: Re Search Exhibition at Sendai Media Tech Japan. A new large scale work,Electromagnetique Composition for Building, Plants and Stars in collaboration with Joyce Hinterding. Two other Australian Artists are in this exhibition Alex Davies and Craig Walsh. House 2 will be shown at Newcastle regional gallery during electro-fringe in late September. We shall also be giving an artists talk at the gallery on the 20th of September.
